Last week, the Climate Prediction released their seasonal forecast for Winter and 30 day outlook for November. An updated 90 Day forecast was also released, covering the period from November to January. A warmer than average period is expected from the Northwest through the Plains to the West. Drier than normal weather is predicted for the Northwest, with wetter than average weather from the Middle Atlantic to the Southwest.
The drought outlook shows through January shows improvement along the Pacific Coast and in the Four Corners. Drought conditions are expected to persist in parts of the northern Plains and West.
