Top Weather Stories for Tuesday, November 14, 2017 Nov 14, 2017

Here is a check of some of the top weather stories we’re are following on-air and online.

Stormy Weather Continues for the Pacific Northwest

It seems like every day we are talking about active weather in the Pac Northwest…and that won’t be changing today.  More strong winds, heavy rain and high elevation snow.  This weather pattern will continue over the next few days.

Warming Trend for the Plains This Week

Cold air and winter weather chances for the North on Friday, but when you head into the Southern and Central Plains temperatures will be well above normal.  Parts of Texas and Oklahoma will be close to record highs for Friday afternoon!!!

Tropical Weather Update

Showers and thunderstorms south of the Azores will continue to move into a favorable environment for tropical development.  This system has a 50% chance of developing into a subtropical system over the next 5 days.  This system could bring strong winds to the Azores over the next day or so, but it will not be a major tropical system.

Possible Winter Weather for the Great Lakes this Weekend

Several weather systems will be moving through the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes over the next few days.  Wednesday rain and a wintry mix will be possible, but the higher snow chances could arrive by the Friday.  The track of this system will need to be watched very closely over the next few days.
