We keep talking about all of the cold air pushing through the U.S., but up in Alaska it is looking like warmer air is in the forecast early next week.
Warm Air Setup
An area of low pressure located south of the the Bay of Alaska will provide strong winds out of the south by early next week. These south winds will allow warmer air to move into Southern and Interior Alaska by Monday afternoon. This will not be a record breaking high temperature event, but temperatures should be 15-25° above normal.
Typically this time of the year temperatures stay out of the 30s…not so on Monday! From Fairbanks to Kodiak to Juneau temperatures will unseasonably warm…enjoy!!!
