Weather Content/ Show Producer – WeatherNation TV (Denver metro area studios)
Compensation: Based on Experience
WeatherNation TV seeks a full-time Producer who loves weather and can juggle multiple duties. This isn’t your normal newscast where you stack an hour show and write ten VO’s. Here, you work with meteorologists to produce five minute live shows throughout the day. During severe weather, you produce breaking news coverage for the duration of the event. Primary duties include setting up lives with our field teams and NWS field offices, finding content on the internet, editing VO’s, SOT’s, PKG’s and writing for our social media and digital platforms. Experience shooting video is a plus.
This position requires a flexible schedule which may include weekends or early morning shifts. You must have the ability to work assisted and unassisted as necessary in a deadline driven environment.
This is a great job for the meteorology student who has just graduated or a broadcast producer who is looking for something completely different from producing a local affiliate newscast.
