The excessive heat continues across much of the country. Temperatures will be in the lower 100s and could lead to heat related illnesses. Some spots across western Texas are under Heat Advisories for this Wednesday.

Even if you aren’t under a Heat Advisory, you’ll still be well above average across the Southern Plains.

This is all thanks to a ridge of high pressure that has been building across the country. This allows temperatures to soar 5-15 degrees above average.

Looking for relief from the heat? Well, you might have to wait. Temperatures will start to slowly cool off but not by much and not quickly by any means.
