Another round of severe storms expected for the Midwest on Monday with a slight risk in effect for parts of central and southern Iowa all the way down to northern counties in Missouri and extreme western Illinois .
Storms will develop in southern Iowa Monday morning and push south to north through the day. Damaging winds/small hail will be the primary concern.
NOTE: These will also be VERY slow moving showers and storms with a south to north orientation so localized ponding on the roads will make for an inconvenient commute to and from work. This area of low pressure will SLOWLY slide east on Tuesday which will put parts of northern Illinois and eastern Iowa under the risk for severe storms and heavy rain
WeatherNation will be right here tracking timing and impacts through the day on Monday. As always, you can join us on Dish, DirecTV or any streaming platforms such as Amazon Fire, Roku and Sling.
