Cold front is triggering showers and storms all across the country’s midwest region today. The most favorable dynamics for severe storms will be concentrated towards the upper midwest this afternoon-evening.
Main concern late this afternoon and evening will be damaging winds and the potential for hail. Tornadoes do not look likely.
Storms will fire up quickly across Wisconsin and Iowa and will continue pushing west to east through the overnight hours as well. Secure those outdoor items before bed. Winds could possibly gust up to 50-60 mph at times.
Temperatures will be dropping behind the front but the biggest cool down is yet to come! Another front pushes in late week for all of the Central Plains and Upper Midwest and this front will allow temps to drop even more moving into the weekend. Hope you’re ready for brisk Fall temps….especially considering we officially welcome Fall this Friday!
Stay weather aware and keep that jacket handy!
