Cold Temperatures Ahead for the Middle Atlantic
Chilly temperatures are ahead tonight and Wednesday morning from the Jersey Shore to the Appalachians. Temperatures will drop down into the 30s, especially in the higher elevations. A Frost Advisory has been issued for many areas throughout the Mid Atlantic, with a Freeze Warning for the valleys of Western Virginia.

A strong area of high pressure will drift slowly eastward throughout the night, bringing the chilly temperatures. With a calm wind, clear sky, and low humidity, frost will form overnight into Wednesday morning. The high will move east into the Atlantic Ocean Wednesday night and temperatures will begin to warm.
