The 46th running of the New York City marathon is this weekend and the weather will be nearly perfect for the expected 50,000 participants. The forecast is dry and morning temperatures will be around 50 at the start of the race, warming to an afternoon high in the middle 50s. The only negative in the forecast is a north breeze that will be around 10 mph. The wind will definitely be felt as runners cross the bridges throughout the race. The north breeze will provide for a nice tailwind for the final miles from the Bronx into Central Park.
The runners start at different times depending on which wave assigned, all between 8:30 and 11 a.m.

An areas of high pressure behind a cold front will provide the dry weather and cool breeze but pleasant Autumn temperatures.
The same area of high pressure will keep most of the Eastern Seaboard with nice fall weather conditions.
