Thunderbirds Fall

WeatherNation Affiliate KUSA Denver– Colorado’s fall colors are stunning, there’s no doubt about that, but seeing an American icon captured in the same photo as turning aspen trees is really something.

The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, or “Thunderbirds,” flew over Telluride on their way back from Millington, Tenn.

Air Force Photojournalist Jason Couillard was flying in the back seat, and captured some truly stunning photos of the jets flying over the scenic colors on Colorado’s Western slope.
