Another Cool Dose of Air for Mid-South
A front has been marching across the central plains and the southeast over the 24 hours dropping temps 10-15 degrees behind the front. Some areas in the northeast are feeling temps this evening near 30 degrees lower than this time yesterday evening.
The front is currently sagging across Texas all the way to Georgia with a corresponding area of low pressure over the piedmont of North Carolina. The front has been slower to progress across the southern states due to a stubborn high pressure parked across the Gulf of Mexico. As a result, showers will linger tonight across the Carolinas and another rough of showers and storms will initiate along the boundary for Wednesday afternoon.
It will be milder by tomorrow but the final push of this front will allow cooler air to invade parts of Southern Texas all the way to South Georgia by the end of the work week.
Enjoy that refreshing North wind!
