The coldest air of the season has arrived and has pushed all the way to the Gulf Coast! This morning, we had widespread temperatures in the 20s and 30s through much of the country and even 40s down to Corpus Christi, Texas!
There were several record-cold morning temperatures too, from the Plains to the Northwest (ABOVE). Brr!
The cold, arctic air continues to settle into Texas, the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, and the Northeast. Record low temperatures were broken across a wide area again Sunday morning.
The below-average temps stick around for many into the upcoming week, particularly across the Northern Plains and into the Great Lakes.
In the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast, temperatures will also remain below average, with record-breaking lows possible overnight! A warming trend will commence through the first half of the week, but some will stay below average through at least Wednesday.
