Snowfall accumulations have been above a foot in many areas with some spots approaching 2 feet. More snow is ahead into this evening.

Additional snowfall accumulations may reach to 6″ in parts of Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Blizzard Warnings continue in Down East Maine, including the Bangor area. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect across several areas in the Northeast.

Strong winds continue in the region, with gusts to 60 mph possible into this evening. Power outages are a concern through tonight until the wind starts to decrease. High Wind Warnings are in effect around Boston, Cape Cod, and Hartford.

The strong winds are creating high surf and waves on the backside of the low pressure center. Coastal Flood Warnings have been issued for Cape Cod, with flooding expected at high tide.

The low pressure center will gradually shift away from the coast through the Atlantic Ocean. Snowfall will come to an end late tonight, but the wind will stay strong into Tuesday morning.
