BREAKING: Tornados & Flooding Ravage Texas

TORNADO THREAT

A confirmed tornado was located near south San Marcos earlier Friday morning.
A Tornado Watch is issued until 7p.m. CDT for many counties in the Austin and Houston area.

RESCUES

Water rescues were made to save people in vehicles stranded in the high waters of Elgin in Bastrop Co, TX.


A School bus transporting special needs students had to be rescued in Bexar County.

San Marcos Emergency Managers reported water levels reached over the Highway 80 Bridge in San Marcos. A Flash Flood Emergency continues for San Marcos and the surrounding areas until 3:30 pm CDT.

Austin-Bergstrom Airport

Austin-Bergstrom Airport closed after 6″ of rain fell. Austin Air Traffic Control Tower and Terminal Radar facility was flooded. Houston Traffic Control Center assumed responsibility for the airspace.
