There seams to be no end to the unique accommodations you can rent on Airbnb these days. This “Boutique Winter Igloo” in Brooklyn, NY certainly has to be one of the most spine chilling in recent days. After historic snow fell in record amounts across the East Coast, Patrick M. Horton had no shortage of material to build his masterpiece.
“Dripping with ingenuity and alt-lifestyle aura lays this snowpocalypse’s most desirable getaway,” “Built completely by hand all natural. Come experience this chic dome-style bungalow with Bae.”
Yes, you too could have stayed in this Inuit inspired wonder for the low price of $200 per night!

Unfortunately Airbnb did not feel the igloo was up to snuff.
Got shut down by @Airbnb for not meeting occupancy standards. Though they were nice enough to tell us that it looked very well constructed.

According to an interview with DNAinfo, Airbnb sent Patrick a note stating, “We are happy to see that you guys are staying busy and having fun during Blizpocalypse,” a Airbnb rep named Dustin wrote Horton. “Unfortunately, your igloo, while very well constructed, has failed to meet our occupancy standards and has been removed from search results.”
“Be sure to pick a place with running water, electricity, and a roof that doesn’t melt.”
