California Dreamin’: Warm Weather on Tap for the Golden State
Off shore Santa Ana-ish winds will keep things absolutely beautiful through the Golden State for much of the week, and temperatures will be milder than average from San Francisco to San Diego.
Highs in San Francisco for much of the week should be right around the 60 degree mark, about five degrees above average, with nearly uninterrupted sunshine ruling the skies through Thursday (some clouds move in Friday for the city by the bay). Los Angeles and San Diego should enjoy that cloud-free sky through at least Friday and probably the weekend as well, with even warmer temperatures.
Los Angeles (average high 68) should be in the mid and possibly upper 70s for the upcoming week, and San Diego (average high 65) will be in the low-to-mid 70s over the same time period.
The dry, warming air comes as a result of winds coming straight from the desert and downsloping off the mountains, resulting in the air compressing and mild temperatures.
Enjoy the beautiful California weather!
