Chicago: Get Ready to Dig out . . . Again!

The Windy City might be better known as The Snowy City if this keeps up.

More snow is on the way for Chicago, fresh off of more than a foot and a half of the white stuff from the Super Bowl Snowstorm. A fast-moving “clipper” system is going to push through Chicago on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, dropping a quick inch or two to keep things extra wintry in the Windy City.

On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, yet another system will push through another 1-3″ of snowfall. Behind it, temperatures rocket back into the teens for highs before rebounding somewhat by the weekend.

Officially,19.3″ of snow dumped on O’Hare International Airport just northwest of downtown Chicago between Saturday night and Sunday night, making this weekend’s snow event the fifth-largest in recorded history and the city’s largest snowfall in four years.

Get those shovels and scarves ready – you’re going to need them.
