Coldest Temps Of Season By Late Week
While we’ve seen a few cold fronts so far this season the strongest one yet is waiting in the wings.
The biggest difference about this next system will be how far south the cooler temps get.
When and where?
Good question. The trough bringing the colder air will start digging into the high plains as early as tomorrow evening yielding high temps in the 30’s and 40’s by Thursday. Highs in the 30’s expected for Bismark, ND on Thursday when average this time of year is usually in the mid to low 50’s.
This trough will continue pushing across the Southern Central Plains through the day on Friday.
As the colder air mass settles into Texas and Oklahoma, temperature highs will only reach the 50’s and low 60’s which is about 10-15 degrees below average for this time of year.
Cold front will continue marching east as we begin the weekend so places like Atlanta, Ga and Nashville, TN likely won’t notice the cool down until Saturday and Sunday.
By Sunday, temps will struggle to climb out of the 50’s for high temperatures.
Stay warm, friends!
