Thanks to a significant cold front sweeping through the country, the Northeast will feel a break in the heat today. A nice cooling trend is setting up for this part of the country. Afternoon highs on Wednesday reached the upper 80s and low 90s throughout Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia and Ohio. Thursday’s highs will be noticeably cooler only reaching the 60s, 70s and the low 80s throughout the region.
Temperatures will continue to cool for Friday as well. Some parts of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire will have highs only in the 50s!
Lower humidity will also be moving in behind the cold front and that will keep the rain chances low. Here is a look at the rainfall potential through Friday morning.
