Cooler temperatures but dry conditions are in store for the 128th Tournament of Roses parade on Monday in Pasadena, CA. The parade has a tradition of not being held on Sunday, so the typical New Years Day parade is moved to Monday. Band practices are underway, along with float preparations.

Temperatures will be cool for the parade, but not too far from average. Readings will climb through the 40s Monday morning. The parade kicks off at 8 a.m. Pacific time.
A weak front will be moving through the area, but no rainfall is expected. Some clouds are possible with the front in the early morning, but sunshine will be found in the later morning and afternoon.
Across the country, the New Year will start warm but wet in the South and Southern Plains, cold and snowy in the Upper Midwest and Northwest, and dry and sunny in the Northeast. Happy New Year from all of us at WeatherNation!
