Temperatures will be mild in the High Plains for the Thanksgiving, but a cold front approaching from the north will bring some strong and dangerous winds by Thursday afternoon. High wind watches and warnings have already been issued for the potential of wind gusts over 60 mph.
Windy Weather Set-Up
A cold front will interact with some very warm November air and increase the rain chances as well as the wind speeds. There could even be a light wintry mix chance behind the cold front for Friday. That could impact anyone planning on doing some Black Friday shopping.
