A 7.5 magnitude earthquake shook the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan on Monday. Nearly 300 people were killed as a result of the massive earthquake in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. It was such a powerful earthquake, strong tremors were felt more than 100 miles from the center. The depth of this earthquake was “intermediate”, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, which usually causes less damage as opposed to earthquakes originating closer to the surface.
