Denver and surrounding areas were under a Winter Storm Warning.
The jet stream dipped south Sunday into Monday, which pooled in cold air. As those temperatures dropped and the northerly winds worked up the mountains, rain switched over to snow.
First snow storm of the season for the Denver area. Accumulating several inches by this evening. #SnowWay

Several inches of snow was forecasted for locations near Denver and Boulder. The heaviest amount is likely to be located along the foothills. The mountains, which saw their first significant snowfall just last week, also received another round of snow.

If you received snow and are not mentally ready for the snow and the cold, you won’t have to wait long. Temperatures start to rebound starting midweek as a ridge of high pressure builds in.
