Excessive Heat to Return to Arizona Later This Week
The sizzling heat will be making a return to Arizona later this week after a slight break this past weekend. An Excessive Heat Watch has already been issued in most of Southern Arizona and parts of the California Deserts.

Temperatures will start the week below average, in the 90s. The normal high for this time of year is close to the century point. The triple digit heat will make a return by the middle of the week, and hit excessive levels into the upcoming weekend.
Readings will soar above 110 on Friday and for the weekend from Phoenix to Yuma. Temperatures will be around 110 near Tucson. The excessive heat will likely continue into the beginning of next week.
