Fires in Montana Continue

While the Southeast is worried about Irma, fires continue in Montana.

On Thursday morning, the Lolo National Forest gave an update on the fires.

The US Forest Service Unit in Lola National Forest said a lightning strike started the Sapphire Complex fire on July 31, and it then blazed through 43,000 acres by September 6.

On Wednesday, a helicopter was seen dropping water over a wildfire southeast of Missoula, Montana, that has burned almost more than 40,000 acres.
