Heat Continues Across Western States

24 Nov 2017, 2:49 pm

Thanksgiving proved to be one of the warmest on record for many across the western U.S.
And as we head into the final week of November, it doesn’t look like there will be any short-term relief.

Hot Turkey

Thanksgiving set records across much of the western states.

Old records weren’t just broken, they were shattered!

Warm Weekend

The ridge of high pressure holds on across the western states.

Even though temperatures won’t trend as high as they have been lately, they will still be 10-20 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Santa Ana Winds

The atmospheric pattern favors a return of Santa Ana winds early next week. Not quite the strong ones we saw earlier this months, but dry offshore winds nonetheless.

That should keep things warm and dry for the LA metro.
