Heat, Elevated Fire Danger Returns To Southern California
— WeatherNation (@WeatherNation) October 19, 2017
Don’t let the cool down fool you, parts of California are about to experience another round of potentially record-breaking heat and elevated fire danger.
A weak front is expected to pass through the area by the weekend, bringing a round of cool air and the possibility for drizzle and light showers.
Southern California will see another round of gusty winds return into the weekend, and combined with the heat and extremely dry conditions, that will elevate the fire threat into the beginning of the new workweek.
Daytime highs are expected to be in the 90s in many places through the end of the weekend, climbing into the mid 90s and the triple digits as we get into Monday and Tuesday.
Here’s a look at some cities that could observe record high temperatures on Tuesday.
