Heavy mountain snows will impact the Pacific Northwest over the next couple of days. Winter Storm Warnings have been issued in the Cascade and Bitterroot Mountains, with Winter Storm Watches in the Tetons. 1 to 2 feet is likely for the highest mountain peaks.
A series of systems will move into the Pacific Northwest throughout this week. A cold front moving through the region now will push eastward, spreading snow across the area.
Another system will move into the coast on Thursday, keeping moisture in the region through Friday. As high pressure builds across the West this weekend, the mountains should see a break from the heavy snow.
