Heavy rain soaked the Phoenix metro Thursday morning right before the lunch hour commute. This caused flooding to occur on Interstate 10 and Interstate 17, even causing one motorist to be stranded under the Greenway underpass.
On Interstate 10, Arizona DOT officials had to pump floodwaters off I-10 at 59th and 67th avenues.
