Remnants of Tropical Storm Newton, combined with a slow-moving cold front will create heavy rain over eastern Kansas and western Missouri. Scattered thunderstorms will develop tonight along a frontal boundary lifting north into east central Kansas and west central Missouri. Additional and potentially more widespread activity is expected Friday night along the slow-moving cold front.
A flash flood watch has been issued for portions of Kansas and Missouri from 7pm CDT tonight through Saturday morning.
