Heavy Snow Continues in the Cascades

Rounds of heavy snow will continue throughout the Cascade Mountains in Washington. A robust flow of moisture pushing into the Pacific Northwest will aid to increase snowfall totals throughout the day. Winter Storm Warnings continue in the northern Cascades into this evening. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect throughout for the southern Cascades and the Olympic Mountains.

The Cascades crest and areas just a few miles off the crest will see the brunt of the snow with
accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, with localized, isolated amounts to 2 feet in the highest elevations. The heaviest snowfall will accumulate into this evening. As a low pressure center and cold front pushes east of the region, snow will gradually diminish late tonight into early Wednesday.
