A round of heavy snow is moving through the Four Corners, with Winter Storm Warnings across New Mexico, including Santa Fe. Winter Weather Advisories include the Albuquerque area. Snowfall accumulations are expected to be in the 3″ to 6″ range with some of the higher elevations reaching to near a foot into Tuesday.
Upper level energy is spinning away across the region and will continue into tonight, supporting heavy snow around the low pressure center.
The system will swirl around aloft tonight, with snow levels dropping all the way down to the lowest elevations. Accumulations will continue into tomorrow, with snow moving out of the region by Tuesday evening.
