Here’s Danny – The Atlantic’s First Named Storm in a Month
Tropical Storm Danny has formed in the Atlantic basin. Danny quickly formed off the African coast and is still far from threatening any land in the next five days. However, the storm still requires a close look.
Danny is forecasted to become a hurricane within the next 24 hours. By the start of next week, it is expected to approach the Caribbean islands.
With little wind shear currently and warm ocean waters, Danny could become a major hurricane at some point in the next 72 hours before encountering an area of increased shear over the weekend. This may limit Danny’s strength as it approaches the Caribbean.
Through next week, Danny may travel into a favorable environment again for restrengthening, so be sure to stay tuned to WeatherNation for updates on the Atlantic’s biggest storm of the season so far.
