The last full day of summer lived up to its name. Take a look at the record high temperatures that were observed for Thursday, September 21.
So where’s this heat going? Well, it’s going to stick around for the first day of fall Friday and for the weekend too. However it will slowly nudge its way to the east through the weekend.
These temperatures will be 10 t0 20 degrees warmer than average for late September. Meanwhile, a huge dip in the jet stream giving the West more snow and cold is helping to push this warm air up from the south. You can read more about the cold/snowy West here.
