Couple More Days of Heat in the Southeast

4 Dec 2021, 11:25 am

The heat continued throughout the work week for some cities in the eastern United States after several cities tied or broke record highs Friday. 70s and 80s were found from the Mid-Atlantic into the Southeast.

A return flow from the Gulf of Mexico on the back side of a high pressure will help draw warm air into the Southeast. A few record highs are possible in Georgia and South Carolina on Saturday.

High temperature today are expected to stay are 5-15 degrees above the normal highs for this time of year!

Change on the Way..

Temperatures will stay warm into the start of the weekend. A slight cool-down is expected thanks to a frontal passage Sunday. But more significant cold air is on the way by Monday and Tuesday.

The cold front that brings the severe weather opportunity to the south will also drop our temps by 10-15° into Wednesday. This will be back towards average for many.
