CYPRESS, Tex. –   A bomb sniffing pup was among many rescued from flood waters on Monday in Cypress, Texas.

This is Darby, a retired United States Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal K-9, who was a veteran of Iraq.

Darby, his owner, and many others were rescued by the Cypress Fairbanks ISD Police Department from flood waters created by Tropical Storm Harvey.

Officers have been out the past two days using school buses to get people to a dry and safe spot.

The Cypress Fairbanks ISD Police Department is a 24-hour a day full service law enforcement agency staffed by both TCOLE certified peace officers and civilian support personnel.  The department was also the one who captured this video on Saturday:
