Jacksonville firefighters rescued a baby from a flooded home on Monday, September 11, in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office captured the moment a firefighter carried a baby in a car seat to a waiting ambulance.
The St. Johns River overflowed its banks on Monday, flooding parts of Jacksonville and prompting the National Weather Service to issue a flash flood emergency for the area.
Emergency responders performed more than 350 rescues because of flooding and storm damage, according to reports.
