Large Hail Hammers Missouri Town

28 May 2017, 3:52 pm

On Saturday, a large portion of the central United States was under a threat of severe weather. The strongest of the storms were expected across Missouri, and that’s where extremely large hail, and tornadoes occurred Saturday afternoon.

A line of storms developed across eastern Kansas Saturday morning, and pushed there way into Missouri. This line of storms blew through Adrian, Missouri, dropping hail larger than baseballs. The photo above compares the hail to a size of a baseball, which ended up being smaller than the hailstone.

A tornado watch was issued for the region issued 7:30 pm central time, but eventually was lifted early. Fortunately there have been no reports of any deaths or major injuries.
