Places like New Orleans, LA and Jackson, MS should prepare now for some flash flooding to occur. Again, these aren’t the only locations expected to get doused with heavy rain today. Communities and residences should prepare all up and down the Mississippi River Valley for Flash flooding over the next 24 hours from Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA.
Area Lakes and River Levels are also at an all time high for part of Northern LA which means flood waters may take a while to recede, even after heavy rain has moved out. The graphic below indicates rivers that are at Major Flood Stage, which also include one Lake hard hit in Texas.
