Grass Fire Burns More Than 100 Acres in Texas Thursday

Parker County, TX – A three alarm grass fire occurred in Parker County, Texas Thursday afternoon. The blaze which consumed 30 acres, appears to have started by people firing bottle rockets off Cattlebaron Drive, and White Settlement Road.

A small neighborhood was in the path of the fire, which prompted Parker County deputies to knock on doors to alert people to the potential threat, but said there were no mandatory evacuations.

Another grass fire in Wise County, Texas has consumed more than 100 acres. Currently, there is no word yet on what caused this fire.  In either fire, no injuries have been reported.

The fires were being fueld by high winds in excess of 20-mph, and low humidity Thursday afternoon.
