Below Normal Temperatures for the Southern Plains Wednesday

8 Nov 2017, 9:59 am

The cold front that moved through the South Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning will lead to cooler than normal temperatures for a large portion of the Southern states.

Surface Map

High pressure will begin to build over the Central Plains and allow colder temperatures to settle over parts Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.  Factor in the clouds and even some rain chances over Texas, it’s going to be a chilly afternoon!

Temperature Forecast

Temperatures will likely be anywhere from 10° to 20° below normal.  No record breaking lows for Thursday morning, but some parts of the Texas Panhandle could be down near freezing!

Warmer temperatures are back in the forecast by the weekend.
