The active weather pattern for the Pacific Northwest will continue over the next few days. It has been mostly rain for the region, but as some much colder air moves in there will likely be a change over to snow. Some parts of the Northern Rockies and Cascades could see some heavy snow. Here is a look at the latest timing of the winter weather chances.
The latest timing of the snow chances will be late Thursday through Friday afternoon. Snow levels will be much lower by Friday, anywhere from 4000 to 4800 feet. A few inches will be possible at these levels, but the heaviest snow will be in the higher elevations.
There are no winter weather advisories or winter storm watches, but that could change depending on when the changeover to snow arrives.
