Ohio Severe Weather on Friday
There is a Slight and Moderate Risk of Severe Storms across the Great Lakes and the Ohio River Valley today.
The biggest impact is going to be strong winds late tonight as T’Storms collapse, but into the late afternoon, we do have a window of opportunity to see some rotating storms and tornadoes.
The hot spot for tornadic activity will be across Northern Ohio across a Warm Front. This is where the surface winds will be out of the south or the southeast, enhancing the low level shear, increasing the chance that storms will produce a tornado.

On the flip side of the coin, some very cold air is likely to bring a mix or rain and snow across MN, ND and even WI. Places like Iron Mountain Michigan could pick up a fast 1-3″ of very wet snow. Don’t expect it to stick around for long.
