Relief was being sent Thursday morning for crews that worked overnight.
The Cinder Butte Fire was reported Wednesday afternoon on the boundary between the Prineville and Burns BLM districts, about 16 miles east of Hampton, Oregon.
With the hot, dry and windy weather, officials say it is going to be challenging for crews battling the fire.
