A lot of places saw significant snowfall, we even set a new record at the Reno Airport for January 31st. Seven inches of snow fell today, doubling the previous record of 3.5 inches that was set back in 1932. The storm total snow at the airport between yesterday and today was 8.4 inches.
This does not break the record of maximum 1-day total snowfall for Reno Airport, which was 22.5 inches on January 17, 1916. FYI December 30th, 2004 ranks #4 on the record 1-day total snowfall with 16.4 inches.
