Record highs dotted California and Arizona again on Tuesday, following a scorching Tuesday. That said, some relief is on the way.
Both Phoenix, Arizona and Los Angeles, California saw record highs on Tuesday, and both cities exceeded their records by considerable margins.
Game 1 of the World Series is Tuesday night, and it’ll feature mercury readings that will likely break the previous mark for hottest game time temperature in a playoff game.
That said, Tuesday looks to be the last day of record-setting temperatures, although Wednesday could come close. A more significant cool down arrives Thursday and into the upcoming weekend.
