Parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas could be looking at severe weather chances on Saturday. Moisture will move north over Oklahoma and Kansas just before a strong cold front arrives by Saturday afternoon. There will be enough instability in place for the possibility of strong convection. Right now the Storm Prediction Center has a 15% chance for severe thunderstorms over eastern Kansas into north-central Texas. Here is a look at the severe weather set-up for Saturday.
The latest timing for the severe storm chances will likely be for Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. Parts of the Texas Coast into Louisiana could see a threat of strong storms as well, but the event is still a few days out.

Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary weather threats, but isolated tornadoes and some very heavy rain can’t be ruled out.
