Late Wednesday evening, heavy rain drenched western Pennsylvania, including the Pittsburgh area and surrounding metro.
More than 2″ of rain fell across the region with another 1/4″ expected into the night. The heaviest rain is over and will taper off through the night.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for a population of over half a million people in the area affected.

Officials reported multiple deep-water rescues in the area, but no injuries as of 10 pm local time.
