Severe Storms Possible for Kansas and Nebraska Monday

2 Oct 2017, 12:28 pm

It seems like we have heard this story before…a chance for severe weather in the Central Plains. We actually heard that story Sunday when severe weather broke out of parts of Kansas and Nebraska. There were even 4 tornado reports in Kansas during the severe outbreak Sunday afternoon.

Monday’s set-up will also include the same cold front with some a Slight risk of severe weather over western Kansas and south central Nebraska.

A Marginal risk of severe weather extends from the Central Plains to the Upper Mississippi Valley through Tuesday morning. Morning cloud cover could impact the severe risk, but there could be some isolated storms capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.  There could also be some isolated tornadoes with the strongest activity.

Here is the latest timing of stormy weather.

Keep checking with Weather Nation for the very latest on the strong to severe storm chances.  Also, please send us your weather photos and videos!  We would love to share them on-air and online.
