6 Apr 2016, 2:10 pm

Capture (1)Strong storms developed across the state of Kansas late last night lingering into early this morning. The primary concern with these storms was high winds and hail. So far, the highest wind report has come in topping close to 60mph. This line of showers and storms is currently along and ahead of a cold front is traversing across the Mississippi River Valley . Storms are projected to move West to East entering the TN Valley as we approach late this afternoon. Severe weather is expected; however, the tornado threat is nearly non-existent. Storms this afternoon all across the TN Valley, Northern Alabama, Eastern Mississippi and a few neighboring counties in Georgia should expect the potential for damaging winds and hail as the threat is much higher for those areas. Stay weather aware and secure those outdoor or loose items today.
